Final Call for Papers – Optical & Digital Document Security (ODDS) 2027

The technical committee for ODDS 2027 (25–27 January 2027, Berlin) is issuing a final reminder for technical paper submissions; deadline 27 March 2026. The response so far has been strong with many high-quality abstracts already submitted.

Submit your abstract via Call For Papers – Optical & Digital Document Security.

ODDS remains the specialist forum where new research and practical engineering solutions in secure documents and identity are first presented and debated, spanning optical features, materials, biometrics, cryptography, machine-readable data, and integrated physical–digital systems.

The core challenge

As more transactions become digital, identity and payment systems face complex threats, including AI-generated content and learning-based attacks. At the same time, data-driven detection and authentication offer powerful defences. ODDS 2027 particularly welcomes work addressing how physical and digital credentials should coexist, and how assurance can be maintained when both attackers and defenders use AI, alongside emerging quantum-resilient approaches.
