IOTA Honours Secure Document Optical Innovation

The International Optical Technologies Association (IOTA) has inaugurated its Excellence in Optical Technologies Awards, recognising outstanding advances in optical security technologies. The awards were presented during a special ceremony at the Optical & Digital Document Security™ (ODDS) 2025 conference in Warsaw, underlining the position of optical devices at the heart of the secure document industry.

This year’s awards build on the legacy of the long-running Excellence in Holography Awards but extend recognition to a broader set of optical and photonic security techniques.

Awards were made in seven categories: Best Innovation in Optically Variable Technologies, Best Origination, Best Disruptive Technology, Best Integrated Technology / Best Document Security Application, Best Product Security Application, and Best Packaging Product.
