HSP Latin America Returns to Rio
The programme has been published for the High Security Printing™ (HSP) Latin America conference, which returns 9-11 June to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – the location for the inaugural event back in 2012.
Attendance is likely to be at capacity for the three-day conference, which includes a one-day regional version of the Cash Sustainability Forum™ and two days of plenary sessions split into two tracks covering currency and ID.
In addition to the cash sustainability seminar, there will be a half day workshop on ‘The Impact of AI in Identity Documents’. It will look at how computer programmes trained to produce, for example, works of art or write new stories are also replacing traditional forgery techniques and putting sophisticated fraud in the hands of less skilled fraudsters. In particular, the moderators – Michael van Gestel and Simon Horswell of Entrust - will examine case studies of AI-assisted document fraud from remote IDV (Identity Document Verification) and ask what we can do to combat this very real threat in an increasingly virtual world.
