Award Announced for Jordanian ePassport

Following a competitive tender process, the Jordanian Ministry of Interior has announced the award of a contract for the production of electronic passports, in line with international standards and the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). 

The company that was awarded the contract will begin operations shortly, pending the completion of legal formalities. The project is scheduled to be executed within a maximum of 250 working days. 

US Launches PKI System for mDLs 

The American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) has announced the launch of its Digital Trust Service (DTS), with Utah and Maryland being the first states to sign on. The initiative aims to enhance the convenience and security of mobile driving licences (mDLs).
