ID Awards 2024 – Celebrating the Industry!

One of the highlights of the High Security Printing™ (HSP) conferences each year is the regional awards for the best ID documents and banknotes, which this year were presented at the HSP gala dinner in Sofia.

There are three award categories – Best New National ID Card, Best New ID or Travel Document, and Best New Passport. This year, Switzerland, Latvia, Bahrain and Finland were all winners, two of them joint.

Best New National ID Card

Swiss ID card – Federal Department of Justice and Police (Fedpol)

The new Swiss ID card was launched alongside the new Swiss passport to form a family of identity documents, with a uniform design focusing on the themes of mountains and water. Issued in March 2023, the card was completely redesigned and incorporates advanced security standards.
