HSP Asia 2023 Programme and Workshops Announced
High Security Printing™ (HSP) Asia is, this year, being held in Sri Lanka’s wonderful capital city, Colombo (4-6 December).
HSP Asia 2023 will focus on government-specified and issued documents, including currency, fiduciary documents, excise stamps, ID cards, ePassports, visas, vehicle documents and licences, with a particular emphasis on banknotes and the emerging technologies for ID and travel documents.
Over 40 international speakers have confirmed their places at HSP Asia 2023. The presenters will discuss what it takes to successfully deliver a new banknote series or a modern ePassport, or other identity document. As government documents become increasingly sophisticated, these experts will share their experience of managing these complex projects, winning strategies, successful examples and innovative new technologies, with a special emphasis on the Asia Pacific region.
The pre-conference workshops include an intriguing insight into criminal proceedings against a father and son team who were sentenced in December 2022 for manufacturing £977,000 worth of counterfeit banknotes, as well as an exploration of the challenges of digital ID verification and mastering machine authentication for handling high volumes of banknotes.
One of the highlights of the HSP conferences each year are the regional awards for the best banknotes and ID documents. With three categories for each of the Banknote of the Year and ID Document of the Year awards. The winners will be announced during the conference dinner.
The deadline for nominations is 15 October 2023.
Attendance at the Asian events is generally in the region of 300, with attendees not just from the region, but all parts of the globe. This provides an excellent opportunity to meet senior level decision makers in one location and will be of interest to those companies already working in, or looking to expand into, the Asia Pacific region.
