Pack your Passport for Tallinn!
After the success of the Tax Stamp & Traceability Forum™, Malta (16-18 May), the next opportunity for the ID and secure document industry to come together is at the High Security Printing™ (HSP) EMEA conference in Tallinn, Estonia (13-15 June).
This regional event, organised by Reconnaissance International, is a showcase for the latest technologies and techniques in the production and issue of banknotes, ePassports, ID cards, visas and other secure documents across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The full programme of conference papers and seminars can be found at hsp-emea.com.
The seminar slots on Monday 13 June, the day before the formal portions of the conference begin, bring together experts from across the ID and security print sector to address three topical issues facing the industry at the moment:
Digitising Identity – benefits and risks highlighted by the current regulatory landscape.
Sustainability – reducing the environmental impact of cash.
Identity – going inside counterfeiting print shops.
The conference programme starts with a plenary review of the secure document landscape before splitting into the parallel tracks currency and secure identity.
The tracks converge for the final session of the conference for a panel discussion on the design and production of security documents through digital print.
The themes of physical to digital transformation, authentication, design and production will be familiar to HSP conference goers, but less so, the strongly emerging facets of sustainability and ethics which are set to become dominant factors in the industry.
